Frequently asked questions

Do you take insurance?

No. Hallew is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance. Paying privately means no diagnosis is shared with an insurance company. HSA cards are accepted.

How much does therapy cost?

The 15-minute consultation is free. The 60-minute intake session is $75, 45-minute individual sessions are $75, and 60-minute couples or group sessions are $90.

Do you offer a sliding scale or discounts?

Yes. A sliding scale is available for those who qualify, and first responders receive a discounted rate. Ask about either during your consultation call.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Cash, check, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, and HSA cards. Payment is due at the time of service.

Do you offer EMDR?

Yes. EMDR is a core part of my work, especially for trauma, PTSD, and first responders. Ask about it during your free consultation call.

Do you offer telehealth?

Yes. Secure video sessions are available to clients who are physically located in Florida at the time of the session. Fees and policies are the same as in-person sessions.

Who do you work with?

Teens, adults, and older adults (65+), both individually and as couples.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Appointments cancelled with less notice may be charged a $50 late cancellation fee.

What does RCSWI mean?

RCSWI stands for Registered Clinical Social Work Intern. It means I hold a Master of Social Work, am registered with the State of Florida, and provide therapy under the supervision of a Florida-licensed clinical social worker while completing the hours required for full licensure.

What is a Good Faith Estimate?

Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of your care. You can request one at any time. Learn more at cms.gov/nosurprises.
